USAFRICOM J6, ARMED FORCES OF LIBERIA HOST HYBRID VIRTUAL ENGAGEMENT

BARCLAY TRAINING CENTER, MONROVIA- 23 SEPTEMBER 2021: USAFRICOM J6 and the Armed Forces of Liberia with the support of the U.S. Embassy Office of Security Cooperation, are hosting Women’s Military to Military Hybrid virtual engagement 20-24 September 2021 from Monrovia, Liberia.

 

 

Liberian Deputy Minister of National Defense for Administration, Honorable Tibli Olandrus Dickson, and Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States of America Embassy near Monrovia, Joel Maybury, joined in opening the program on Monday, September 20, 2021.

 

 

Enhancing Partnerships through Cyberspace and Women, Peace and Security Initiatives is the theme of the symposium.  The symposium is being held in support of USAFRICOM’s Campaign Plan to strengthen partnerships and enhance partner capability.

 

 

Women, Peace, and Security; Senior Enlisted Signal/ Cyber Career Perspective, Liberia’s Women in the Military Initiative, Africa’s Evolving Cyber Threats, Whole of Government Approach to Cyber, MITRE ATT&CK Framework/ New Training, Cyber Hygiene Best Practices, UN  C4ISR Academy for Peace Operations, Gender Mainstreaming in African Armed Forces, MITRE Ransomware and SolarWinds Hack, Women in Peace-Keeping Mission and Pandemic Lessons Learned and Best Practices are focused topics that subject-matter experts are elaborating on during this year’s symposium.
