Capt. Alexander J. Selmah, Head of the Legal Sectionat Headquarters AFL, received the Everard Award for Junior Staff Course 66 on 1 December 2016 from the Ghana Armed Forces Command Staff College (GAFCSC). The course ran from 5 August to 1 December 2016.

The Everard Award is awarded to the ‘Best Student’ that academically contributes to all centralized lectures and discussions during the duration of the course.

GAFCSC as a Center of Excellence aims at enhancing the leadership, analytical and communication skills of  selected middle and senior level officers and civilians to perform command, staff and leadership functions, through research andk active development of a broad understanding and knowledge of military operations as well as management of the wider aspects of Defense and Governance.
