ARMED FORCES OF LIBERIA BAND UNIT BENEFITS ADDITIONAL FOREIGN TRAINING


BARCLAY TRAINING CENTER, MONROVIA- 5 JUNE 2024: In line with the vision of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), Brig Gen Davidson F. Forleh, “to shape a well-trained military force…”, four members of the AFL Band Unit have completed a twenty-week training course from the Central Ghanaian Military Music School, from 5 January to 31 May 2024.

 


The training brought together 130 military personnel from Liberia and Ghana. Cpl Peaches Pannoh, Pvt Kingston Saad, Pvt Esther Gboyo, and Pvt Charles Kyne are personnel of the AFL, while the other 126 military personnel came from host country, Ghana.

 


The students were taught different skills in playing various musical instruments. Among other instruments, Slide Trombone was the instrument for which Pvt Charles Kyne of the AFL was awarded the BEST ALLIED STUDENT. Pvt Esther Gboyo of the AFL was also awarded the most improved on the Drum Major Mix.

 


The High Command of the Armed Forces of Liberia commends the awardees along with the rest of the soldiers who took part in the training in Ghana, and admonishes them to do better in future training opportunities.
