BARCLAY TRAINING CENTER, MONROVIA- 8 FEBRUARY 2023: The Armed Forces of Liberia conducted a ribbon-cutting and unveiling ceremony of a monument that was erected in honor of those (Former soldiers dead and alive) who have served in the Armed Forces of Liberia.

 

It is a symbol of remembrance and gratitude to the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to their nation, Liberia.

 

The Monumental structure which depicts a Soldier presenting arm (Saluting) was erected in front of the Headquarters-Armed Forces of Liberia.

 

The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Minister of National Defense, Major General Daniel D. Ziankahn Jr. (Rtd), the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia, Major General Prince C. Johnson III, ECOWAS Advisory Training Team (EATT), Office of Security Cooperation (OSC)-US Embassy, Members of the Veterans Bureau, and Employees of the Ministry of National Defense.

The ceremony climaxed with a hand salute as a sign of respect for those who have served.
