AUTOBIOGRAPHY- COLONEL DANA ANTO THEOPHILUS

Colonel Dana Jr, Anto Theophilus was born on 22 May 1978 in Nimba County, Republic of Liberia.

 

CIVILIAN EDUCATION

Colonel Dana holds a master in Homeland Security from the Keiser University Graduate School,2022, USA. He also graduated from the African Methodist Episcopal University where he earned a Bachelor in Business Administration in 2002. Col Dana graduated with a high school diploma and a West African Examination Certificate in 1998 from the Len Millar High School.

 

MILITARY EDUCATION

APPOINTMENTS

Col Dana served in several appointments in the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) to include Deputy Chief of Staff, AFL since February 2024 to present. 23rd Infantry Brigade Commander, Armed Forces of Liberia, 2018 – Feb 2024. Commandant, Armed Forces Training Command (AFTC) 2017- 2018 Assistant Chief of Staff, Operation (J3) 2016-2017. Assistant Chief of Staff, Training (J7), 2016. Commandant Armed Forces Training Command, 2014 -2016. Executive Officer, Armed Forces Training Command (AFTC) – 2012 to 2014, 2nd Infantry Battalion, Battalion Commander 2010-2011, Executive Officer 2nd Infantry Battalion,2010. Bravo Company Commander, 2ndInfantry Battalion-2008-2010, Company Commander for AFL soldiers attending Specialized Warfare Course at the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps Center School (ICCS)-2008, Platoon Leader, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion-2007.

Col Dana attended the following seminars and obtained various certificates. Certificate, African Land Forces Summit held in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire, 8-12 May 2023. Col Dana received the Army Physical Fitness Excellence Badge during his Infantry, Basic Officer Leader Course (IBOLC), Fort Benning, USA, 2008.

 

PROMOTION DATES

Col Dana came through the ranks and files of the AFL with various promotion  date. Second Lieutenant 4 May 2007, First Lieutenant, 23 September 2008, Captain 23 September 2010. He was then promoted to the rank of Major  on 23 February 2012, Lieutenant Colonel 1 October 2013 and Colonel on  9 December 2016.

 

HOBBIES

Col Dana loves playing soccer and swimming.
