ASSISTANT MINISTER ANTHONY KAI JELLY

Anthony Kai Jelly, Sr., is the Assistant Minister for Civil Works at the Ministry of National Defense. He comes to this position with over twenty-five years of experience in Civil Engineering and Civil Works.

 

Honorable Jelly is a 1987 graduate of the Willian V.S. Tubman College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is also a Master Degree candidate in Project Management at the Atlantic International University, USA.

 

Additionally,  Honorable Anthony Kai Jelly obtained several certificates and diplomas in the following areas: Development Education and Leadership, Standards: ISO 9001:2008, Quality Management System, Disaster Response and Management, Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness, Action Monitoring for Safe Drinking Water Supply Sanitation, Road Construction and Maintenance and  Electricity.

 

Prior to his appointment, he served as Senior Quality Assurance/ Control Engineer/ Inspector, Owner Engineers Norplan-Fichner JE, and Mount Coffee Hydro-Power Rehab. Project – Monrovia, Liberia.

 

Moreover, he has served in other positions including but not limited to the followings: Superintendent for Construction & Maintenance, Superintendent for Engineering & Construction, Superintendent for Maintenance, and Construction Engineer, ArcelorMittal – Liberia (AML); Infrastructure Engineer, USAID (RBHS) –Liberia; Technical Coordinator, Making Enterprises (USAID funded Project), Project Manager, Emergency Officer, Project Consultant (Expert), Project Coordinator (UNICEF –LWF/WS WATSAN Project), Project Officer/ Engineer (UNHCR-LWF/WS Project)’ Lutheran World Federation/ World Service-Liberia Program; Surveying & Mapping Officer, Forestry Development Authority, Republic of Liberia and Soil Laboratory Technician, Ministry of Public Works, Republic of Liberia.
