BARCLAY TRAINING CENTER, August 10, 2017: The Ministry of National Defense has noted with utmost dismay a New Dawn Newspaper article Vol. 7 N0. 138, Page 10 of Thursday, August 10, 2017 captioned “PYJ Claims Police Brutality in Kokoya District”. The article attributed to Senator Prince Y. Johnson alleged that Liberia’s Minister of National Defense has threatened to deal drastically with inhabitants of David Dean Town if they repeat the action of gathering dirts from the stream for rewashing in search of gold.

The Minister strongly disassociates himself from the article. The attribution associated to the Minister is totally untrue and never happened.
